To make a day of it

Château de la Villeneuve stands in La Genête (Saône-et-Loire), in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region of France. No visits are on record for this building.

The Château de la Villeneuve stands on flat ground in the commune of La Genête, in Saône-et-Loire. It replaced a 14th-century fortified house, of which only an elongated building flanked by a pavilion remains, built of brick and stone beneath an ochre render. The grounds still include a square dovecote and a timber-framed barn, though the moat that once surrounded the house has been filled in. The property remains privately owned and is not open to visitors.
