Château de la Tour stands in Dompierre-sur-Authie (Somme), in the Hauts-de-France region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument. The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.
In Dompierre-sur-Authie, in the Somme department, the château de la Tour is built around a massive defensive tower raised around 1455 by Jacques de Rambures, whose family acquired the lordship after the battle of Agincourt. Its walls, over two metres thick and set on a sandstone base, still show gun ports, loopholes designed for raking fire, and a parapet walk with three bretèches. A brick and stone residence was added in 1627 by Charles de Rambures, after the western wing was torn down. This is a site for medieval military architecture rather than a stately pleasure residence.
