L'emplacement actuel du château est occupé depuis le 13e siècle. La demeure édifiée en 1730, composée d'un corps principal avec pignon central et de pavillons aux deux extrémités, est retouchée au 19e siècle. En 1825 est adjoint une construction en forme de péristyle grec à l'emplacement délimité par les deux avants-corps encadrant le bâtiment principal. De 1878 à 1880 construction de la chapelle Renaissance par l'architecte Carra. Vitraux réalisées par Lucien Begule, maître-verrier lyonnais. Vers 1892, construction de bâtiments à vocation agricole, ainsi qu'un pavillon de gardiens.
