To make a day of it
Château de la Lande stands in Montmorillon (Vienne), in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France. No visits are on record for this building.
The Château de la Lande stands in Montmorillon, in the Vienne department, on land held by the Goudon family since the sixteenth century. Originally a fortified house before becoming a hunting lodge, it retains a square tower and a round tower housing a spiral staircase, along with a machicolated dovecote from that period. Work carried out in 1872 raised the rooflines, covered them in slate, and added a further round tower. The building is set within a park of some thirty hectares, home to centuries old oaks and chestnut trees.
