La maison-tour du manoir de la Haute-Braconnière, édifiée vers 1602, figure parmi les rares exemples de maisons fortes construites dans le Nord de la Vendée au lendemain des Guerres de Religion, par une communauté protestante implantée sue un territoire très majoritairement catholique. Le manoir conserve encore des bâtiments de communs probablement contemporains de la construction de la maison-tour, comme l'atteste la présence régulière des baies en plein cintre.
