Château de la Ferrandière stands in Villeurbanne (Rhône), in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
The château de la Ferrandière no longer stands: this Renaissance building, once located on the border between Lyon and Villeurbanne, vanished into the urban fabric in the early 20th century. It had replaced a medieval motte castle and passed through several owning families, including the Riverieulx de la Ferrandière, before housing a school founded by Madeleine-Sophie Barat. Nothing remains to visit on site today, though the layout of the old plane tree avenue survives in what is now avenue Saint-Exupéry.
