In Plouay, in the Morbihan, the château de Kerdrého continues a manor first recorded in 1456, largely rebuilt in the first half of the 17th century. Its granite rubble-stone main building, with one upper floor and a regularly ordered façade, reflects Breton manorial architecture of that period. The estate has remained in the hands of descendants of the same family line, later linked by marriage to the Bougainville family.
