To make a day of it

Château de Grand Champ stands in Soussey-sur-Brionne (Côte-d'Or), in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region of France. No visits are on record for this building.

In the hamlet of Grand-Champ, part of Soussey-sur-Brionne in the Côte-d'Or, stand the remains of a 13th-century fortified house, later reshaped into a composite residence. Visitors today find an eclectic group of buildings: a 19th-century neo-gothic tower, a Belle Époque villa and a square dovecote, all set on a raised platform lined by a dry moat and old counterscarp walls. The property, privately owned, still holds faint traces of the medieval stronghold within its later additions.
