Le château remonte au 14e siècle. De cette époque subsiste le donjon carré avec fenêtres à croisillons. L'aile qui lui fait suite a été remaniée aux 17e et 18e siècles. Un deuxième corps de bâtiment en équerre est rattaché au premier avec un escalier à vis du 15e siècle. Sainte Emilie de Rodat y passa son enfance, et y eut la révélation de sa vocation religieuse.
