What the French Ministry of Culture records

Petite forteresse rurale du Soissonnais édifiée au Moyen Age. Donjon cylindrique du début du 14e siècle d'une hauteur d'environ 22 mètres. Ouvrage d'accès au donjon édifié dans le courant du 14e siècle, en partie détruit en 1886. Enceinte des 14e et 15e siècles. Logis seigneurial du 16e siècle, profondément remanié postérieurement. Au début du 15e siècle, la seigneurie appartient à La Hire, compagnon de Jeanne d'Arc. Conversion du domaine en exploitation agricole dès le début du 17e siècle. En 1886, destruction de la plus grande partie des vestiges.
