On a rise above the church of Droizy, in the Soissonnais region, stands the cylindrical keep of a former medieval stronghold. Built around the turn of the 14th century, it rises some twenty metres and retains its stairway set within the thickness of the wall along with four corner turrets. Long left in ruins before being restored at the end of the 20th century, the site pairs the austerity of a military tower with a modern fitting that opens the way up to the rampart walk.
