To make a day of it

Château de Chazal stands in Uzos (Pyrénées-Atlantiques), in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France. No visits are on record for this building.

The Château de Chazal stands in Uzos, in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, and takes its name from Baron Pierre Chazal, a Belgian general and Minister of War who retired there in 1875 after a long military and political career in Belgium. Within its walls he wrote his memoirs before dying in January 1892, on the same day as his wife. The place is remembered above all for this nineteenth century Belgian figure rather than for any well documented architectural feature.
