To make a day of it

Château de Cadenet stands in Cadenet (Vaucluse), in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of France. No visits are on record for this building.

Standing above the town of Cadenet in the Vaucluse, this castle survives today only as ruins. Its origins are thought to date back to the 11th century, when it was built by the first lords of Cadenet, before a major building campaign was carried out in the mid 16th century under viscount Antoine Honoré d'Oraison. The site is also linked to an episode of the Revolutionary wars, when a loyalist legion seized it from royalist rebels in 1793.
