To make a day of it

Château de Borey stands in Borey (Haute-Saône), in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region of France. No visits are on record for this building.

The château de Borey stands south of the village of the same name, in the Haute-Saône, on a defensive site shaped by two converging streams. Its oldest section dates from the late 16th century, though the Tranchant family gave it its present form during the 17th and 18th centuries, with a long main building flanked by two towers. Above the carriage entrance, the date 1684 and two coats of arms, defaced during the Revolution, are still visible. The château remains privately owned and has been restored by its current occupants.
