Château d'Olly stands in Olly (Ardennes), in the Grand Est region of France. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
The château d'Olly stands in the hamlet of the same name, part of the commune of Illy in the northern Ardennes, at the meeting point of the Hatrelle and Givonne streams. Built around 1830 on the site of an older mill, it later became a hub of industry, first a brickworks then a spinning mill, before reverting to a private residence after a fire in 1908. Traces of this industrial past remain on the grounds: a chimney dated 1858, along with channels and the remains of a turbine that once harnessed the water's power. The site also carries the memory of two dramatic events, a Dutch field hospital set up here during the Battle of Sedan in 1870, and the execution of a resistance member in 1944, both recalled by plaques in front of the building.
