To make a day of it

Château d'Helfedange stands in Guinglange (Moselle), in the Grand Est region of France. No visits are on record for this building.

Helfedange castle stands in Guinglange, in the Moselle department, built on the foundations of a fortified farmhouse dating to the 12th century. Its rectangular main building, flanked by two round towers, retains alterations from the 17th century as well as a later remodelling at the end of the 18th century. The estate passed through eight centuries of noble ownership, from the house of Créhange to the counts of Nassau, and served as a military headquarters during both world wars. Now a private property held by the same family since the 19th century, it is not open to visitors.
