What the French Ministry of Culture records

Quadrilatère flanqué de quatre tours carrées. L'absence totale de décor accentue la sobriété de cet édifice à vocation essentiellement militaire. Le seul aménagement, fait vraisemblablement au 17e siècle, consiste en une petite maison de pierre accolée à l'édifice principal et où se trouvent les seules pièces habitables. A l'intérieur, trois piliers à intervalle régulier devaient supporter un plancher. Pas de trace de créneaux ni de mâchicoulis au sommet des murs. Le château fut démantelé sous Richelieu.
