The building, worked on by architect Jean Bullant and sculptor Jean Goujon, now houses the national museum of the Renaissance, the only French museum entirely devoted to this period. Visitors can see tapestries, ceramics, stained glass, goldwork and furniture reflecting the splendour of a residence designed to rival royal palaces.
