To make a day of it

Château d'Écoublay stands in Fontenay-Trésigny (Seine-et-Marne), in the Île-de-France region of France. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

The Château des Prés d'Écoublay stands in Fontenay-Trésigny, in Seine-et-Marne, on land once held by the Courtenay family before passing to the canons of the Sainte-Chapelle. Its rear wing was built to house a monumental painting by Eugène Delacroix, The Death of Sardanapalus, now kept at the Louvre. The property later spent fifty years as a religious community home to Scalabrinian monks from across the world, and today operates as a corporate seminar venue.
