Arc romain dans l'enceinte du Palais de Justice stands in Carpentras (Vaucluse), in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 1st century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Wedged between Saint-Siffrein Cathedral and the law courts, this Roman arch dating from the 1st century is among the oldest surviving remains in Carpentras. Standing around ten metres high, its two side faces bear carved reliefs of chained captives, an unusual feature shared with the arch of Orange. Over the centuries the structure was absorbed into neighbouring buildings, which explains its current setting, hemmed in by later construction.

What to know
- The monument stands in the historic centre, against the cathedral and the law courts, and is viewed from the public street.
- Seeing it involves looking from the outside, with no ticket or entrance since it is a relic embedded in the urban fabric.
- The east side of the arch is hard to see because of how close the neighbouring building stands.
- No particular accessibility arrangements are mentioned, as the site is seen like any other street in the town centre.
