Schloss Wildthurn stands in Landau an der Isar, in the Landkreis Dingolfing-Landau, Bavaria. Its square Romanesque keep, built around 1250, is the oldest surviving part of a complex reshaped several times, most notably in the sixteenth century and again after 1838 in the English Tudor manner. A fire in 1911 destroyed the east wing, which was rebuilt with the many pointed neo-Gothic windows now defining the facade. Privately owned by the Lermer family since the late nineteenth century, the castle is not open to visitors.
