Schloss Teisbach stands on a steep spur above the right bank of the Isar river in Dingolfing. The present three storey rectangular building, topped with swallowtail battlements, dates from a late Gothic building campaign in the 15th century, raised over the remains of an earlier medieval castle that had been destroyed and rebuilt in the 13th century. Its 19th century bourgeois owners gave it the neo-Gothic touches still visible on the facade and gable today. Following a thorough restoration in the early 1970s, the building has belonged to the town of Dingolfing since 2013 and can be visited on guided tours.
