Schloss Wässerndorf stands in the center of the village of Seinsheim, in the Landkreis Kitzingen, now a ruin surrounded by a dry moat. Built from 1555 onward by Baron Friedrich von Schwarzenberg on the site of an earlier fortified seat of the lords of Seinsheim, it was burned down in the final days of the Second World War and never rebuilt. Visitors can still see a nearly square enclosure flanked by six round towers and two half-round towers, along with the remains of a four-wing residential building, pointed-arch windows, and a round-arched portal. Owned by the Roethe family and maintained together with an association, the site has been turned into a memorial against war.
