Schloss Trockau stands at the western edge of the village of Trockau, part of the town of Pegnitz, on the site of a medieval fortress. The current three storey building, laid out on an irregular quadrangular plan, dates from the late 18th century. It has remained in the hands of the same family, the Groß von Trockau, who still own it today.
