Schloss Sulzburg stands in Sulzburg (Landkreis Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald), in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
The Schloss Sulzburg stands at the southern edge of Sulzburg's old town, right on the market square, where the former margravial residence survives as its hall wing and stable wing. Construction began in 1527 for Margrave Ernst I of Baden-Durlach, and the complex was substantially enlarged around 1600 under Georg Friedrich before suffering severe damage during the Thirty Years' War and a fire in the winter of 1677-1678. What remains today, a late Renaissance building marked by a carved figure of a wild man on its facade, now houses an art auction house.
