Schloss Pudagla stands in Pudagla (Landkreis Vorpommern-Greifswald), in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Schloss Pudagla stands on the island of Usedom, on the site of a former abbey that was converted into a residence for the ducal family of Pomerania. The present building, plain and elongated, dates from works ordered in 1574 by Duke Ernst Ludwig for his mother, Duchess Maria of Saxony, who lived out her widowhood there. Visitors can still see the main portal framed by pilasters and topped with the Pomeranian coat of arms, along with a rear projection housing a spiral staircase. The property passed through Swedish and later Prussian rule before becoming, since East German times, a restaurant.
