Schloss Ludwigsburg stands in the hamlet of the same name within the municipality of Loissin, in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Built in the Renaissance period for a duchess of Pomerania-Wolgast, it ranks among the few ducal Pomeranian residences still largely preserved in their original form, alongside the castles of Ueckermünde and Stettin. The three-storey building, with projecting three-bay sections on its north and south facades, survived the Thirty Years' War, several changes of noble ownership and later communal use after 1945. A permanent exhibition on site covers the history of the château and its surrounding manor estate.
