To make a day of it
Schloss Monbrillant stands in Hannover (Region Hannover), in Lower Saxony, Germany. No visits are on record for this building.
The Schloss Monbrillant no longer stands: this early eighteenth century pleasure pavilion, built for Countess Sophie von Platen-Hallermund, once stood on the Puttenser Berg, on the site of today's Welfengarten in Hanover. It later passed to the House of Hanover and served as a residence for several royals, including the future King George V, before being torn down in 1857 to make way for the Welfenschloss. Rebuilt in a modified form near Osnabrück to house the directors of an ironworks, the building was ultimately demolished in 1925. Nothing remains on either site to visit today, only indirect traces of its past.
