To make a day of it
Jagdschloss Entenfang stands in Herrenhausen-Stöcken (Region Hannover), in Lower Saxony, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
The Jagdschloss Entenfang is a half-timbered building in Herrenhausen-Stöcken, near Hanover, in Lower Saxony. Built in 1687 for Duke Ernst August, it originally served as a duck-trapping station supplying wild duck to the kitchens of Herrenhausen Palace, standing beside a watercourse now known as the Stöckener Bach. After several changes of use it was converted into an inn in 1835, and the building now shows a symmetrical, classicist facade under a hipped roof. Only a few traces of the 17th-century structure survive, most of what can be seen today dating from the 19th century.
