To make a day of it

Schloss Krumbach stands in Krumbach (Landkreis Günzburg), in Bavaria, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. No visits are on record for this building.

Schloss Krumbach rises above the small Bavarian town of Krumbach, next to the parish church of St. Michael, on the narrow ridge between the Kammel and Krumbach valleys. This three storey Renaissance building, put up in 1530 for the imperial councillor Hans Lamparter von Greifenstein, stands on a fortified site first recorded in 1125. The lords of Krumbach, then the margraves of Burgau and later the Habsburgs held it in turn, before the counts of Liechtenstein-Kastelkorn had baroque stucco ceilings added around 1700, some of which survive today. The building now houses a vocational college and is not set up as a visitor attraction.
