Schloss Gödens is a moated château in the municipality of Sande, once the seat of the lordship of Gödens. Its present appearance, with baroque lines influenced by the Netherlands, results from a rebuilding carried out after a fire in 1669. Notable features include the two storey entrance portal in dressed stone and the great hall, whose ceiling paintings draw on Greek mythology. The house remains in the hands of the von Wedel family and stands within a landscaped park.
