Schloss Etelsen stands in Langwedel (Landkreis Verden), in Lower Saxony, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Schloss Etelsen stands at Langwedel, in the Wesermarsch lowlands, built between 1885 and 1887 for the von Heimbruch brothers on the site of an older manor house. Hanover architect Karl Hantelmann gave it a historicist look, combining a main facade inspired by French Renaissance models with more baroque elements on the garden side. The landscaped park surrounding it, laid out around 1899, remains open to the public and offers wide views across the countryside. The building now houses a vocational training institution, while also hosting exhibitions, concerts and civil wedding ceremonies.
What to know
