To make a day of it
Schloss Erbach (Donau) stands in Erbach (Alb-Donau-Kreis), in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Schloss Erbach overlooks a former Danube crossing, set between two hills near the town of Erbach. Built in the mid 16th century for the Augsburg patrician family Paumgartner, it takes the form of an urban patrician residence, marked by stepped gables and pitched roofs. A bridge leads to a fortified gatehouse, opening onto a courtyard flanked by stables and outbuildings. Inside, several period reception rooms and a Baroque chapel reflect the various stages of the castle's history.
