To make a day of it

Landrichterschloss stands in Parkstein (Landkreis Neustadt an der Waldnaab), in Bavaria, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. No visits are on record for this building.

The Landrichterschloss stands at the center of the market town of Parkstein, in the Upper Palatinate, on the site once occupied by the Burg Parkstein, destroyed during the Thirty Years' War. This two storey hip roofed building bears the date 1762 and once served as the seat of the local district judges. Its ochre facades, marked by white plaster trim at the corners and around the windows, together with the former barn and stable remains that complete the ensemble, give a sense of what an administrative manor looked like in eighteenth century Bavaria.
