Schloss Penkhof stands in the hamlet of Penkhof, part of the municipality of Kümmersbruck in Bavaria. Its history goes back to the Middle Ages, when the site was held as a fief of the landgraviate of Leuchtenberg, later changing hands among various noble and burgher families from Amberg. The present building, rebuilt after a fire in 1793, still has a medieval core beneath its later facade, along with a coat of arms plaque dated 1790 bearing the arms of the von Buttlar family.
