The Burgstall Rodesgrün marks the site of a vanished medieval hilltop castle, located about 550 meters southeast of the center of Rodesgrün, a district of the town of Selbitz. First mentioned in 1330, it belonged to Nikolaus von der Grün and Konrad von Reitzenstein before being destroyed in 1382 during a feud between the Vogtland knighthood and the free imperial city of Eger. Today only a slightly raised, tree covered mound remains, overlooking the gentle slope toward Selbitz and Neuhaus.
