The Burgstall Burgadelzhausen marks the remains of a vanished spur castle overlooking the hamlet of Burgadelzhausen, in the Landkreis Aichach-Friedberg. No written record documents this stronghold, which scholars tentatively date to the early 10th century, in connection with the Hungarian raids of that period. What survives today is a system of earthen ramparts and ditches, some several metres deep, enclosing an oval main castle area preceded by a crescent-shaped outer bailey. No stone structures have ever been found there, suggesting the defences relied on wooden palisades.
