To make a day of it

Burg Weißenburg (Klettgau) stands in Weisweil (Landkreis Waldshut), in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. No visits are on record for this building.

Burg Weißenburg is a largely vanished medieval hilltop castle ruin on a small mound near Weisweil, in the Klettgau region. The site looks exposed within the valley, but a stream, the Seegraben, once turned the surrounding land into marshy ground that shielded the approach. Only a few fragments of masonry remain today, the stronghold having been destroyed by undermining its walls during a siege in the late 13th century.
