Burg Quakenbrück stands in Quakenbrück (Landkreis Osnabrück), in Lower Saxony, Germany. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Burg Quakenbrück stood between 1227 and the early 16th century on a dune beside the Hase river, in what is now the town of Quakenbrück in Lower Saxony. Built by the Bishopric of Osnabrück as a border fortress against the County of Tecklenburg, it was demolished around 1500 and replaced by a modest Burgmann residence, which was itself replaced by a modern building in 1970. No historic structure remains visible today: archaeological excavations have traced the outline of ditches, a palisade and a well dated by dendrochronology to 1317.
