Burg Oberried is what remains of a vanished motte, a medieval earthwork castle, located near the former monastery grounds northeast of Oberried in Baden-Württemberg. All that survives is an artificial mound roughly twenty metres across and three metres high, which once carried a tower. In 2017 a second, exceptionally well preserved motte was discovered right next to it. A visit here means looking at a shaped landform rather than any standing structure.
