First recorded in 1403 as a fief of the von Bocholtz family, it took on its present form in the 16th century, as shown by the date 1544 carved in the courtyard. Visitors find a three-storey manor house of brick and sandstone, topped with a hipped roof and framed by four round corner towers, once surrounded by water, the Ingenhovenweiher pond still recalling its former island setting.
