Burg Haren stands in Haren (Landkreis Emsland), in Lower Saxony, Germany. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
The Burg Haren survives only in records and beneath the soil of the town of Haren in Lower Saxony. Originally a fortified estate of Corvey Abbey, it was acquired by the Bishop of Münster in 1076 to serve as a military stronghold in the Emsland region, later passing to the Counts of Tecklenburg and then to a ministerial family who took its name. Abandoned during the 14th century once it lost its strategic purpose, the castle left no visible remains above ground, though excavations uncovered massive boulder foundations beneath what is now a hotel.
