Burg Bärenstein stands in Bühlertal (Landkreis Rastatt), in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. No visits are on record for this building.
The Burg Bärenstein is a ruined hilltop castle set on a rocky outcrop of the Bärenstein above the village of Obertal, at an elevation of 771 metres. Little remains of the medieval stronghold beyond scattered stonework, and bossed blocks found on the site now form steps leading up to a modern lookout tower built on the rock. The appeal lies mainly in the view over the northern Black Forest and the walk up, rather than in standing walls or rooms to explore.
