To make a day of it

Château la Boursidière stands in Châtenay-Malabry (Hauts-de-Seine), in the Île-de-France region of France. No visits are on record for this building.

At the edge of the Verrières forest, close to the A86 motorway, a few remaining foundations mark the site of the old Boursidière keep, a stronghold said to date from the 10th or 11th century. There is no château to walk through here, only a fenced archaeological remnant tied to a legend involving Queen Blanche of Castile and a white lady said to guard buried treasure. The interest lies less in architecture than in the long occupation of the place, traced back to the Neolithic era.

Written from Château fort dit la Boursidière ou la Boursillière
