In the Caux region of Normandy, within the Seine-Maritime département, sits the brick-built Château du Bosc Théroulde, constructed in the Louis XIII style. Jacques Le Faë, a royal adviser, started the project in the early 1600s, and his son Adrien finished it, also adding a chapel as thanks for surviving Rouen's plague. Ownership passed through Norman families including the Berthost and Milleville before the Maze-Sensier family enriched its 19th-century appearance with pediments and glazed brick facing.
