The château de la Muyre stands a few kilometres from the village of Domblans, in the Jura, set within a wooded park that highlights its architecture. The site is thought to go back to an earlier stronghold from the 12th century, though the present building dates mainly from the 15th and 16th centuries, with significant alterations in the 19th. It has belonged to the Grivel family since 1624 and underwent a lengthy restoration carried out with the help of Compagnons craftsmen.
