To make a day of it

Château de La Grange-aux-Ormes stands in Marly (Moselle), in the Grand Est region of France. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

The Château de La Grange-aux-Ormes stands at the end of a long tree-lined drive on the Frescaty plateau, south of Metz, in the town of Marly. The current building dates from the early eighteenth century, though the site has passed through the hands of religious and noble owners since the late twelfth century. Its best-known episode dates to 1436, when a woman arrived claiming to be Joan of Arc, said to have escaped burning at the stake in Rouen. The surrounding estate today houses a golf course and a restaurant set in the former outbuildings.
