To make a day of it

Château de la Garoupe stands in Antibes (Alpes-Maritimes), in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of France. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

Near Garoupe Beach, at the tip of Cap d'Antibes, stands a sizeable villa dating from the early twentieth century, commissioned by the British MP Charles McLaren. English influence from the Belle Époque Riviera is visible in the half moon shaped windows and the long staircase leading down toward the sea. Laura McLaren designed the garden, which formerly featured a pergola draped with rose bushes reaching twelve metres in length. The villa is privately owned and closed to visitors.
