To make a day of it

Château de La Caze stands in Peyrusse-le-Roc (Aveyron), in the Occitanie region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument. The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.

About two kilometres from the village of Peyrusse-le-Roc, in the Aveyron, the château de La Caze presents its Renaissance main building flanked by two round towers, one topped with a dome, the other pierced with machicolations. Built in the 15th century by the Peyrusse family and rebuilt after a fire set by Huguenot forces, the estate passed through several families down to the Armagnac de Castanet line. As private property, it can only be viewed from outside, its steep lauze-covered roofs and the entrance stair leading to the front tower visible from the road.
