Château de la Barrière stands in Lieusaint (Seine-et-Marne), in the Île-de-France region of France. No visits are on record for this building.
The Château de la Barrière, also known as Château Berger, stands in Lieusaint along the former Route Nationale 6. Built in 1910 for the Gobert-Martin couple, Parisian industrialists who owned the Grands Magasins Réaumur, it replaced a more modest 18th-century house on what had been a sugar-beet farm. Its construction, completed remarkably quickly by hundreds of craftsmen, produced an especially refined interior decor. The estate's name is linked to the famous Courrier de Lyon robbery, which took place nearby.
