The château de Fouquières stands in Fouquières-lès-Béthune, in the Pas-de-Calais region, on land acquired by the Doresmieulx family in the early eighteenth century. Built in the 1760s and later altered in the following century, it reflects the residence of a moderately ranked noble family from Artois, complete with its park and farm outbuildings. Held by the same family line until the twentieth century, the house went through periods of neglect and suffered an arson attack in 2017, and restoration work is currently underway.
